Tonie Warner

I started my yogic journey over 15 years ago and was drawn in by the physical and mental balance and the transformation I gained. My passion and love for yoga led me to teaching and sharing at studios throughout New York City and Brooklyn. I understood that yoga should be available to all but knew that this tenet was far from being upheld in the wellness community. As an extension of my practice and with the firm belief that everyone should have access to yoga, I created Yuja Soul, a dedicated space that offers yoga to Black Womxn.

My classes are centered on philosophy, alignment and inner balance. For me, yoga is continued work, allowing my body and mind to surrender to the ebb and flow of the breath, exploring inner and outer balance while being soft, expansive and powerful at the same time. I joined The Connective to build on my commitment to sharing the practice with all and meeting you where you are on the mat.

I am alllll up in my feels at the end of the April "Journey to Headstand" Series. :'''') Endless thanks to Tonie for guiding us on a journey month after month, especially this month. The way she wrapped up this series with the sadhana is so special and a well-received way to cushion the end.

Tonie creates the ultimate yoga experience with strong cues, meditative music and yoga philosophy woven throughout. I have felt so grounded and expansive attending her classes two mornings a week this year.

Thank you for balance of consistency and novelty, Tonie!

Clear communication from start to finish!

I have nothing but great things to say about Tonie. She is an excellent teacher, and her classes are steeped in care and intention. I am very much looking forward to this May series with her, and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a guide through an emotionally and physically transforming yoga experience.
