Do you experience stiff and achy joints as the weather turns cooler? Would you like to enjoy more ease and fluidity transitioning between positions on the ground and from lying down to standing up?

Join me in SPACE!

For the month of October we’ll explore space, ground, and transitioning with movement.

This 4 class series will build from simple patterns lying on the floor to more complex variations in sitting, hands and knees, kneeling, and standing. We’ll pay particular attention to transitioning with ease between these developmental base positions. It will be nerdy and fun.

Following principles from physical therapy, strength training, yoga and somatics, my classes help you build capacity for doing more in life with confidence and ease. October’s class series will focus on easy restorative movement on the floor, combined with active skill training for more efficient level changes.

I’ve designed this experience to help you identify restrictions and improve joint mobility through the entire kinetic chain. You’ll come away with:

— Strategies for making your movement practice more fluid, varied, and playful
— An understanding of how your joints move independently and in coordination with other neighboring joints
— Improved functional strength and mobility for level changes

LIVE CLASSES
Our live classes take place over Zoom, Sundays 9:30-10:30AM EST: October 3, 10, 17, and 24. I’ll be there 10 minutes before and after class so we can hang out, Q&A, and meet each other’s pets.

SUPPLEMENTAL VIDEO LIBRARY
A small library of hand picked practice videos will be delivered on the first day of class, October 3. These videos include whole body warm-ups, strength, self-massage, and somatics. You’re invited to sprinkle in one or two sessions as you like between our live classes together. The pre-recorded videos are yours to replay through October 31.

For props this month I recommend having a blanket for padding on the floor, a yoga block, and light-medium weight resistance bands. These props are recommendations, not requirements. I give lots of options so we can make it work!
