Classes begin Tuesday, June 1st
Are you ambidextrous? Me neither. Most of us have a dominant side which tends to take over without thinking. This can lead to imbalances in both strength and range of motion. Join me for this month's progressive Pilates Mat series where we will focus on strengthening and stretching the hips and shoulders, to create balance between right and left.
-Basic anatomy of the hips and shoulders
-The importance of shoulder stability
-How the hips relate to the pelvis
-Myofascial release techniques to promote range of motion
-Variations of classical Pilates Mat exercises to give you practical options to advance your practice
Live Classes take place over Zoom at the following days & times:
-Tuesdays, June 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 @ 9-9:50am EST
-Saturdays, June 5, 12, 19, 26 @ 10-10:50am EST
The meeting will start 10 minutes before class, so we have time to chat, ask questions, etc. Props recommended: 36" foam roller; franklin balls/tennis balls/any soft 3-4" balls; and yoga strap/belt.
In case you need to miss a class, or for anyone who wants to revisit the class, 7-day replays will be available to all students.
The livestream class format will help you build a consistent practice within a supportive community. Your enrollment in this month-long class package is a one-time payment (not a monthly subscription), and you'll have access to all nine classes and their replays.
