Functional Strength: March Live + Library | Standard Price

Build your capacity for doing more in life with confidence and ease. My monthly hybrid class series combines strength, mobility, and endurance training with soothing somatics and active rest.

With repeated monthly participation, you’ll have an opportunity to progress the strength demands of your program as appropriate, following principles from physical therapy and exercise science. If you’re new to class, no problem! You’re welcome to jump in anytime. I offer plenty of options to fit every body and you’ll use whatever props you have around the house.

You’ll learn:

  • The base positions for essential strength building movement patterns.
  • Dynamic warm-ups to achieve the mobility necessary to be fluid in the positions, and make them feel good on your joints.
  • A variety of ways to progress the strength challenge so you can increase your capacity over time.

LIVE CLASSES
Our live classes take place over Zoom on Sundays from 9:30-10:30AM EST. March 7, 14, 21, and 28. 7 day replays available. I’ll be there 10 minutes before and after class so we can hang out, Q&A, and meet each other’s pets.

VIDEO LIBRARY
A small library of hand picked practice videos will be delivered on March 1 (or whenever you sign up after March 1). These videos include a compilation of “greatest hits” in strength, mobility, whole body warm-ups, self-massage, and somatics. You’re invited to sprinkle in one or two sessions as you like between our live classes together. The pre-recorded videos for this series are yours to replay through March 31.

The hybrid format provides structure to your learning, helps you integrate and build on the material from class, and maximizes the benefits of our time together. Plus you’ll connect with a community of students all on the same ride.

For props this month I recommend having one or two light to medium weight resistance bands, a tote bag and books, soup cans, or water bottles to use for weight. Of course, if you own dumbbells or a kettlebell, that works too. Also have one or two yoga blocks, a yoga blanket or large beach towel, and a strap. These props are recommendations not requirements. I give lots of options so we can make it work!
