Hi Everyone! I’m Jan - I’m super excited to be part of The Connective community.
In my classes, you will explore functional movements that relate to daily life. In everyday life we need to be able to reach, bend, twist, balance, and lift things up.
My classes begin with breathing to calm the nervous system, bring focus, + internal awareness to your body. When we are feeling stiff or “tight”, taking time to prepare the joints through mobility exercises preps the joints, muscles, and bones for strength work.
NO six pack abs here! My intention is to teach students how to develop abdominal strength to create support rather than focus on aesthetics. My style of pilates is a modern approach that incorporates yoga, pilates mat, and functional range control (FRC).
My intention for myself and students is - Move WELL + Feel GOOD.
When I’m not teaching, you can find me in the kitchen, styling outfits, or hanging with my husband & pugs - Sophie and Bear.
